Struggled For Almost 10 Years. Without A Father, Without A Family. Will You Help Ruchi?

That one day changed Ruchi’s life completely… 

It was 2014, an ordinary day at PDM Mall, where she worked at a small shop. Out of nowhere, she collapsed. In a matter of hours, life as she knew it changed forever. Doctors later diagnosed her with diffuse cerebral atrophy with rectal collapse and quadriparesis, a severe neurological condition that left her paralyzed, unable to walk, unable to move, and completely dependent on others for even the smallest tasks.

From that day, Ruchi’s life came to a heartbreaking standstill. She could not complete her graduation, could not chase the life she once dreamed of. Her mother in a shock and trembling voice with tears in her eyes says, “I don’t even know what to expect of life anymore. Why did this happen to my daughter, what wrong did we do to anybody!”

Instead, her world shrank to the four walls of a room and the weary but loving hands of her single mother.

The family’s journey since then has been one of endless suffering. Her father, once a pillar of support, lost his battle with cancer three years ago. The loss not only broke their hearts but also shattered the family’s financial stability.

Her mother, despite her age and frailty, makes garlands at home, earning no more than ₹800–900. “We don’t have anybody who could help us. Where do we go, where do we beg for money!?” she says as she sobs… 

For twelve long years, they have fought for Ruchi’s survival, selling whatever they had, borrowing from relatives, spending over ₹10 lakhs on her treatment. And yet, her condition continues to keep her bound to the bed.

The weight of helplessness crushes them daily. Her mother often breaks down, whispering in anguish, “If something happens to me, who will take care of my daughter? Who will feed her? Who will lift her from the bed?” These questions haunt the family every single day.

Her mother, aged beyond her years, keeps asking God why her child must suffer like this. Watching Ruchi lie there still so young, yet robbed of her youth, is a pain no words can truly capture.

Today, doctors at Abhinav Balaji Hospital believe that with proper treatment, Ruchi can improve. The estimated cost is ₹15 lakhs, an unimaginable amount for this family that is already drowning in debt and despair.

Today, Ruchi’s life has come to standstill. She has been suffering for a while now, it’s time that we come together, show some humanity and power of our love towards Ruchi’s life and be her single mother’s only support!
